Teacher: Ástþrúður Sif Sveinsdóttir

Language: English

In this course I will tell you a little bit about the story behind the unspun Icelandic plötulopi. It’s a magical material but fragile to work with, but as soon as you get to know it, I’m sure you will fall in love with it. You can play with it in a lot of different ways and I will have a little show and tell, and bring some samples. We will knit 3 swatches with single, double and triple threads and I will teach you tricks for combining colors together. If we have time, you can make a lopi tassel for your knitting bag.
